The MT mussel sorting machine has been specially developed for the fresh mussel trade. Every mussel is conveyed and sorted separately, guaranteeing a high level of accuracy. It sorts mussels of 15 mm to 30 mm (continuously variable adjustment). The mussels can be collected in six standard sizes, but sizes can be adjusted, so that you can quickly adapt to changing demands of the market.

    Operation of the machine

     The principle is based on rotating rolls fitted with a spiral conveying the mussels one by one. All rolls are driven by one motor and the machine can be adjusted to all types of processing. The machine was designed to handle debearding machines. In order to run the machine without sorting, half of the sorter rolls can be lifted pneumatically.

    Construction of the machine

     The machine is made entirely of stainless steel and all sorted sizes can be conveyed via continuously variable drop plates. In addition, the machine can be adjusted from every angle, enabling fast and easy operation of the machine.
