EasyFarm

EasyFarm is designed and developed by Murre Technologies in cooperation with other parties.

EasyFarm is an innovative seed mussel harvesting installation combining the cultivation and harvesting of seed mussels. The EasyFarm seed mussel harvesting installation has been developed as an alternative to the traditional harvesting of seed mussels from the seabed. Instead of attaching to natural seed mussel beds on the seabed mussel larvae attach to the floating EasyFarm breeding nets. There the larvae grow into small mussels: the seed mussels. When the seed mussels have grown big enough, a harvester specially designed for the EasyFarm is used to scoop the small mussels from the nets. After that the mussel farmer sows the seed mussels onto breeding grounds where they will grow into the well-known mature consumption mussels.
